D&S Pilot Teaching ‘Education Law and Rights of Stakeholders in Education’ for Postgraduate Students, Mari State University, Yoshkar-Ola (Russia), 12 March 2019

On 12 March 2019 postgraduate students of Mari State University (MARSU) attended the elective course ‘Education Law’. Postgraduate students are students from the major 44.06.01 Education and Educational Sciences, educational programmes: 13.00.01 – General Educational Science, History of Educational Science and Education, 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Training and Education (Computer Science), 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Training and Education (Mathematics), 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Training and Education (Mother Tongue), 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Training and Education (Russian Language), 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Training and Education (Physics), and 13.00.08 – Theory and Methods of Vocational Education.
The objectives of the course ‘Education Law’ is the development of knowledge about the legislative and regulatory framework of the educational system in the Russian Federation from a comparative perspective, the organizational framework and structure of management of educational institutions, the mechanisms and procedures for managing the quality of education, and the formation of knowledge and skills for future teachers to work on legal issues in the educational sphere. The elective course is an EduLAw output which was introduced by MARSU professors Vera Toktarova and Marina Mokoseeva. Students have to complete their coursework and to pass the required test.
