VUB is situated in the heart of Europe and the capital of Belgium. The Faculty of Law and Criminology has undergraduate programmes in Law and Criminology, a Master in Notary’s Law Practice and four Master of Arts programmes. The VUB Institute for Teacher Education (IDLO) prepares outstanding teachers and drives in-service trainings for teacher, and research on teacher education, with a special focus on multiethnic classrooms in Brussels.
Furthermore, the VUB International Relations and Mobility Office (IRMO), the Research and Development (R&D) and the Financial Department are also involved in the project. These central departments of the VUB have gained top level expertise in managing EU projects as VUB has and is participating in the Erasmus program and the European Research Programmes since the start of the programs in 1988 (Life Long Learning program including Comenius, Erasmus, Grundtvig Leonardo da Vinci, Jean Monnet, Erasmus Mundus Action 1 and 2, Framework and Horizon 2020, …). VUB provides education for almost 15.000 students in 8 faculties. In addition to the regular programs for Dutch-speaking students, VUB also provides English programs for its nearly 21% foreign students.
