The Jean Monnet initiative is dedicated to providing knowledge about the European Union, which is not currently part of the curriculum for teacher training. ELAT aims to address the need for (future) teachers to acquire knowledge about, among other things, the functioning of European institutions, freedoms within the European Union, values and European policies. Additionally, ELAT aims to raise awareness among teachers and students about the impact of the European Union on economic, social, and political aspects, as well as on the lives of citizens in Europe.
