Training event, 10 June 2021, online

On June 10, 2021, the MELINC consortium partners held their first public (virtual) event on ‘The conceptual and legal framework for an inclusive school environment that meets the needs of all students’. The (virtual) event was hosted by the Mongolian consortium partners from Ulaanbaatar, Khovd and Dornod and was aimed at staff in teacher training institutions. It was presided by Dr. Surlegmaa Rentsen. Keynotes were delivered by Dr. Odgerel Dandii (MNUE) “Training teachers for Inclusion in Mongolia: Current situation and further trends of inclusive education in Mongolia”, Dr. Gracienne Lauwers (VUB) “The transformative role of the duty of care continuum for students with special needs to enhance inclusive classrooms”, Dr. Anna Drabarz (UoB) “From the integration paradigm to a new formula for strengthening inclusive education in Poland” and Dr. Elena Shinkareva “The development of the rights in education of children with disabilities in Russia” (European Association for Education Law and Policy and the Institute of Open Education). The keynotes were followed by an interactive Q&A session. The event was attended by an audience of 65 Mongolian participants.
